Account Requirements (Cash, Cash Back, Tunes): Account must have a minimum of twelve (12) Pearl Hawaii Federal Credit Union (PHFCU) Debit Card authorized purchases or automatic transactions that post to their account during the Monthly Qualification Cycle. PHFCU’s “Monthly Qualification Cycle” means a period beginning one (1) day prior to the first day of the current statement cycle through one (1) day prior to the close of the current statement cycle. Account must be enrolled into eStatements and opted-out of paper statements. Member must log into PHFCUOnline at least one time per month. Member’s accounts need to be in good standing in order to open, maintain, or hold open a Kasasa account. “Good Standing” means not incurring PHFCU a loss through accounts, fees, services, and/or loan products.
Rewards and ATM fee reimbursements will be credited to the appropriate Kasasa account on the last day of the statement cycle. APY = Annual Percentage Yield. APY’s are accurate as of 5/01/19. Rates and rewards are variable and may change after account is opened. Fees may reduce earnings. Account approval, conditions, qualifications, limits, time frames, enrollments, log-ons and other requirements may apply. No minimum deposit is required to open the account. Limit 1 account per Social Security Number. You must be an existing PHFCU member in good standing to open a Kasasa Account. There are no recurring monthly maintenance charges or fees to open this account. Visit any location for additional information, details, restrictions, processing limitations, and enrollment instructions.
Qualification Information: Qualified purchases include point-of-sale transactions conducted with or recurring automatic charges utilizing a PHFCU authorized Debit Card. The following activities do not count toward earning account rewards: ATM-processed transactions, online banking transactions, transfers between accounts, ATM card or credit card purchases or transactions, debit card purchases processed by merchants and received by PHFCU as an ATM transaction, or transactions on your account from a debit card not issued by PHFCU. Account transactions and activities may take one or more days to post and settle to the account. All transactions must post during the Monthly Qualification Cycle in order to qualify for rewards.
Reward Information: Rewards vary by account. Depending on what Kasasa account you open, you will receive the following rewards when you meet your account’s qualifications during a Monthly Qualification Cycle:
Kasasa Cash: Balances up to $10,000 receive an Annual Percentage Yield (APY) of 2.25%; and balances over $10,000 earn 0.25% APY, resulting in a range from 2.25% to 0.43% APY dependent on the account’s balance. When account qualifications are not met, all balances in a Kasasa Cash account earn 0.05% APY and ATM fees are not reimbursed. Automatic transfer from Kasasa Cash to Kasasa Saver occurs within one (1) business day and may cause an overdraft to your Kasasa Cash account if the account’s balance is less than the transferred amount when transfer occurs.
Kasasa Saver: (Linked to a Kasasa Cash or Kasasa Cash Back account): Balances up to $20,000 in your Kasasa Saver account receive a 0.75% APY. Balances over $20,000 earn 0.25% APY, resulting in a range from 0.75% to 0.33% APY, dependent on the account’s balance. When account qualifications are not met, all balances in a Kasasa Saver account earn 0.05% APY and ATM fees are not reimbursed. When linked to the Kasasa Saver account, the interest earned within the linked Kasasa Cash account do not compound since it is automatically transferred to the Kasasa Saver account. The actual interest amount transferred from the Kasasa Cash account to the Kasasa Saver account may be less than the advertised Kasasa Cash APY if the advertised APY is represented without a linked Kasasa Saver account. A Kasasa Cash or Kasasa Cash Back account is required to have a Kasasa Saver account. A linked Kasasa Saver account is required for automatic savings.
ATM Fee Refunds: You will receive reimbursements up to $20.00 for nationwide ATM fees incurred during the Monthly Qualification Cycle in which you qualified. If you have not received an appropriate reimbursement, we will adjust the amount if we receive the ATM receipt within sixty (60) calendar days of the ATM transaction.
