Q | Why should I opt-in to ODP or Overdraft Privilege?

A | An overdraft happens when your account doesn’t have enough funds to cover a transaction, but we authorize the payment anyway. If you use a check or debit card without sufficient funds in your checking account, you could face fees not only from Pearl Hawaii Federal Credit Union, but also from the merchant and their financial institution. However, with Overdraft Privilege, you’ll only incur a fee from Pearl Hawaii helping you avoid extra charges from others. Best of all, your transaction goes through smoothly, with no bounced checks or declined payments!

FRAUD ALERT: Beware of people calling claiming to be from Pearl Hawaii where the caller ID says Pearl Hawaii. Pearl Hawaii will never ask you to respond to a text to reverse or erase a transaction, or ask for passwords, PINs, card numbers, Social Security numbers, or authentication codes.
