Collections Manager
Pay Rate: Salary Range | $52,500 - $73,500 per year

The Collections Manager is primarily responsible for the Collections Department’s operations. This includes the development and implementation of authorized collection practices and procedures in order to protect Pearl Hawaii FCU against loss. The Collections Manager shall ensure the effectiveness of all collection efforts and actions taken in order to enforce the collection of all delinquent loan payments and recovery of articles pledged to secure its loans.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
- Maintain and routinely update PHFCU Collections department standards, policies and procedures in alignment and compliance with current Federal and State Collection laws and practices.
- Monitor, process, and track loan delinquencies, repossessions, foreclosures, bankruptcies, TDR’s, workouts, charge-offs, and post charge-off accounts to ensure compliance with PHFCU Collections Department standards and credit union goals.
- Responsible in ensuring that all collections efforts are compliant and exhausted for pre charge-off and post charge-off accounts according to applicable Federal and State law.
- Manages E-Oscar to ensure all credit reporting agencies are notified and updated due to any applicable changes in a member’s credit reporting account status.
- Works with third parties, including the credit union’s attorneys, Credit Reporting Agencies and Recovery Agencies, on accounts which require legal proceedings, judgements, recoveries and foreclosures.
- Review and evaluate delinquent accounts to identify possible trends and provides recommendations for changes as necessary.
- Prepare and submit data and reports to the Board and appropriate departments as instructed by the Vice President of Loans.
- Responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of the work within the Collections department
- Must possess a strong understanding of Bankruptcy laws. Will serve as the primary contact for all Bankruptcy related accounts.
- Provides leadership to the collections team to ensure all necessary functions of the department are met and to ensure staff complies with all regulations and requirements.
- Routinely consults with the Vice President of Lending on measures to provide greater efficiency, accuracy and benefit to the Collections Department.

Member Services Specialist (Part Time)
Pay Rate: Hourly Range | $18.00 - $20.00
Location: Honolulu - Hokua Tower
Provides members with courteous, efficient, and accurate service in depositing funds, withdrawing funds, opening and cross-selling new share accounts, certificate accounts, and other new services. And provides members with courteous, accurate, and efficient loan service, which includes providing loan information, interviewing, and accepting loan applications in accordance with loan policies. WORK HOURS
- Part-Time employees are required to work 3+ days per week during the following days and hours: Monday - Friday 11 PM - 5:30 PM and Saturday 10 AM - 2 PM.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
TELLER/NEW ACCOUNTS
- Performs all duties exceptionally, safely, and efficiently.
- Receives cash and checks for payments or deposits.
- Issues checks or cash for withdrawals.
- Processes transfers between accounts.
- Issues money orders and movie tickets. Also maintains logs and adheres to inventory and control procedures.
- Cross-sells savings and loan services to existing and new members.
- Provides routine information on credit union products and services, policies, and member accounts in person, by phone, or by mail.
- Balances cash and checks to computer totals on a daily basis and prepares bank deposits.
- Opens new Savings, Checking, IRA, Trust, and Savings Certificate Accounts as well as provides information and disclosures relating to these services. (Note: Savings would refer to Regular, Christmas, Jumbo, and Momi Accounts).
- Processes applications for plastic cards and the Member Telephone Service.
- Processes deposits, withdrawal requests, loan payments, and loan close-outs received via mail.
- Provides members with payroll allotment forms.
- Maintains appropriate department records and files.
- Assists in balancing daily work.
- Assists in auditing of cash machines and other instruments with their immediate manager.
- Performs Shared Branching Transactions (HICUSO & CO-OP).
- Order supplies for the department as needed from the HR Director.
- Removes and replenishes coin machine bags and prepares coin machine bags for deposit processing.
- Processes coin machine transactions.
- Processes the opening and closing of Safe Deposit Boxes.
- Processes ATM deposits or payments.
- Assume the duties of the Receptionist in his/her absence.
CONSUMER LENDING
- Interview and obtain information from loan applicants to be able to process loan requests made by members for all types of loans offered excluding mortgage applications.
- Verifies loan application information to ensure that all essential information to make a decision has been noted.
- Assures all loan applications are completed in accordance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
- Inputs loan application information into the computer terminal for processing.

- Provides assistance to members on our digital channels and in person to maximize sales opportunities in lending and deposit products while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Utilizes web chats, video conferencing tools, texts, e-mails, and phone calls to interview and obtain information from loan applicants for all types of loans offered.
- Originates all types of loans offered on the Loan Origination System.
- Analyzes creditworthiness by reviewing and verifying credit data to calculate members’ capacity to repay the loan.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
- Responsible in assisting with the maintenance of all loans in the credit union’s loan portfolio as directed by the Loan Support Manager.
- Provides assistance to internal and external stakeholders with key functions needed to service the members’ loans.
- Maintains member’s loan files and follows retention period according to the credit union’s policies.
- Ensures that vehicle and real estate ownership titles are processed and perfected according to the credit union’s requirements.
- Assist with members’ post-closing questions, inquiries, and change requests.
- Communicates with third parties on loan related questions and requests while maintaining confidentiality of records.
- Involved in ensuring that collateral insurance is properly maintained for all the credit union’s loan products. Will be responsible in all aspects of the collateral protection insurance program.
- Responsible in assisting with the maintenance and balancing of loan related general ledgers.
- Provides assistance with loan reviews to ensure quality and accuracy using various loan servicing reports as directed by the Loan Support Manager.
- Responds and corrects members’ loan discrepancies and credit reporting disputes.
- Involved with communicating and working with auto dealerships and other third-party vendors on contract packets, to ensure required loan decision stipulations and verifications are met according to the credit union’s policies.
- Will perform other duties integral to the servicing of the loan department’s loans as directed by the Loan Support Manager or Vice President of Loans.
